Empower is a heart-centered yoga studio that’s owned and operated locally and independently. We aim to create an inclusive space for seekers of happiness, growth, empowerment and connection. We stay at the forefront of the wellness industry by utilizing the latest technology and information to constantly improve our processes and create a thriving business and exceptional workplace. With intention and camaraderie, we venture to create a community of healing, growth, fulfillment, and fun for our students, teachers, and staff. Our Application Process:
Complete the online application form below
Participate in an in-person interview
Teach a 20-minute audition
If chosen to advance, teach a 30-minute audition incorporating the feedback from your first audition
If hired, all new teachers start with a 4-week trial and a 90-day probation period
Requirements:
Teachers are responsible for leading well-rounded and safe classes and are expected to have the skills necessary to teach multiple levels, sometimes with the use of props and appropriate verbal and hands on assists. Teachers are also “the face” of Empower Hot Yoga and deliver extraordinary experiences from the moment students walk through the door, to the moment they leave. Empower Hot Yoga Teachers and Staff are supportive, kind, lighthearted, embody Empowers core values both on and off the mat, and are humble in their pursuit of constant growth.
Additionally, teachers must:
Have at least a 200-hour yoga teacher training certification
Teachers do not need to be registered with Yoga Alliance
Have taught at least a 100 public classes (150+ preferred)
Under special circumstances and the right teacher, we will accept under 100 public classes
Have enough experience to confidently plan a 60-minute class in a 20-minute timeframe
Have taken at least 6 classes at Empower Hot Yoga within the last year (EXCLUDED UNTIL OUR DOORS OPEN)
Priority will be given to teachers who have previously been part of our community and have taken well over 6 classes
Be able to teach 2x per week and sub when available.
Be able to work the front desk 20 minutes before and after class.
Be knowledgeable in the Mindbody software.
Be able to teach at least 2 format styles of classes at Empower.
Be able to teach outdoors, in-studio, and virtually.
Be able to attend mandatory one-on-one meetings every quarter to grow teaching and professional skills.
Be able to attend our monthly team meetings.
